So instead of shopping for a new one, I found myself looking for the perfect platform bed to DIY this weekend. And guess what I’ve found? Tons of amazingly beautiful and functional ideas.

What you’ll need:

  • An old sweater
  • Felt-tip marker
  • Scissors
  • Crochet thread and needle

How to make your own mittens:

Step 1: Turn an old sweater inside out.

Any sweater will work! Just make sure it’s big enough to make two mittens.

Step 2: Trace your left hand onto the sweater

Tip: Make sure you leave enough fabric for your right mitten!

Step 3: Cut out the tracing.

Begin with a back stitch, then sew around the mitten, about 1/4 inch from the edge. Each streamer has smaller circles near the bottom makes it more gorgeous.

Step 5: Turn mitten inside out.

Repeat these steps to make a mitten for your right hand, then you’re done! Enjoy your DIY stocking stuffer!
